South Jersey Home Schooling Association (SJHSA)  
 

The mission of the South Jersey Home Schooling Association is to support and encourage families who elect to homeschool their children. SJHSA will provide the start-up guidelines and the educational and social guidance to families in our quest to bring unity to the homeschooling community. Some of the many resources available are:

  • Information on reasons many parents choose to homeschool
  • Methods of homeschooling (traditional, literature-based, unschooling, etc.)
  • Learning styles and how to identify your child's style as well as the parent's style
  • How to choose curriculum narratives
  • A directory of co-ops in SJ, and advice on how to choose a co-op
  • A directory of homeschool resources (some online, some in person)
  • Explainations about NJ homeschooling laws with a link to the HSLDA's page
  • Online discussion forum (for members only) to discuss problems, share resources and tips, etc.
  • Calendar of events and classes offered by the SJHSA
  • Information about homeschool conventions
  • Directory of online resources and other informative webpages
  • Directory of curriculum publishers with possible discount offers
